There are >39 Trillion bacteria cells in the human body.  We have more bacteria cells than human cells and the greatest number reside in the gut. Every single thing you take in is metabolized through your gut. 70% of our immune system is also found in the gut. This provides communication and signaling regarding our ability to absorb nutrients from what we take in, our ability to eliminate toxins we are exposed to, and our level of protection (immunity) to the outside world. Learning what your body has to say about your gut health is the foundation of any nutrition plan.
